IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!
While I doubt that many, if any, people have been checking my website everyday, desperately waiting for a new devotional or sermon, I do apologize for not updating the website for such a long time. Since the last update, I graduated from seminary, Tanya and I moved from Garland, TX. to McAllen, TX, and I started my first pastoral appointment as the Associate Pastor of First UMC in McAllen, TX. It has been quite an amazing last few months.
I am very happy to say that Tanya and I are really enjoying our time back in the Rio Grande Valley. It is more than a blessing to be near our families, and we have been having a blast in our new home and new church. As I have said to many people recently, I'm not sure what we did right while we were in the Dallas area, but we can not imagine a better community and congregation to be appointed to!
My plan now is to go back to doing a weekly update of the website, along with a weekly devotional, and I'm using this time of Lent to get myself in gear. I am thankful for all of you reading, and if you have any ideas on what you'd like to share, or would just like to contact me, please feel free to do so. Blessings and peace!!!
I'VE RECIEVED MY FIRST APPOINTMENT!!!
Tanya and I are very excited to announce that, effective January 1, 2014, I will be appointed as Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church in McAllen, TX. We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to be in ministry in a new community that is close to home and close to our hearts.
To our friends in the DFW area, we will miss you all dearly. The last seven years away from home and family have only been possible through your continued support and love for both of us... and don't worry, we are already looking forward to driving up to visit in the coming months!
To our church family at Axe UMC, words cannot describe the honor we have had in being a part of your community. It was a privelage to serve you all the last two and half years and I am confident that the Lord will continue to move in amazing ways through and around each of you!
